I ordered it because I’m always looking for a lightweight and compact tripod when traveling. I have a big heavy for professional work, and several children, but nobody is perfect. I have this tripod more than one month in possession and I met in the open air a few times. In my opinion, this is not a digital SLR, though it is strong enough to hold too. I want to fly just because it weighs very little anxiety about the tripod, and would be very heavy at the top. To that end, invest in a nice unit of carbon fiber would be better. This stand is literally less than 5 seconds, and nearly folded just as quickly. The ball head is very well made from solid aluminum and handles. Legs are spread very stable, if correct. An earlier assessment that the tripod had fiberglass poles. Now, the aluminum rods, and are very solid. It is unlikely that the person in possession of, or even stand gesehen.Wie Joby Gorillapod fills a specialized niche. Purchased for a trip where weight and portability were the key factors that I found other reviews that have marked the boundaries of this stand, while, incredibly light, it is not stable. That is correct. I had stuck to the side of my Tamrac 5767 Velocity 7x Photo Sling Pack, I skiied cross country skiing, snowmobiled and moved to Yellowstone in the snow.
